Owen Corrigan

My Uncle Owen died on June 24, 1964. He was 52 years old. He smoked unfiltered Camel cigarettes. He was a heavy smoker. He died of emphysema.

Ironically, on the day he died, the U. S. Federal Trade Commission issued a ruling that cigarette packaging must include a warning that “cigarette smoking could cause death from cancer and other diseases.”

Smoking Kills

  1. My dad was also a pack of Camel’s a day person. When the Cancer warning came out, he stopped “on a dime” and never smoked again. How sad about your uncle …and many continue to get addicted to various kinds of cigarettes…

Blessings on this beautiful day…. Chez??????
